Having your own homepage or a website is a must-have these days. So how to make your website quickly and easily? It’s easy to open a free web account where you can host your site for free. Most of the free hosting providers will usually give you basic WYSIWYG editor where you can build your pages instantly. Drawbacks of doing that is a lack of freedom when designing your webpages. Here I’ll show you how to build a website in no time. Now we know that you want your website to look as professional as possible. Can that be done for free? Well, yea it can. Macromedia Dreamweaver is a leading web authoring tool on the market but it’s rather expensive especially when you just want to make a semi-professional web site. Solution for this can be downloading Dreamweaver 30 days free trial ( see recourses below). Once you have downloaded Dreamweaver, you have noticed that it takes ages to start building your website as it is a professional software aimed at professional web designers so it doesn’t have any flashy templates that you can kick-start with. On the Internet there are so many websites that offer free website templates. Those are semi-finished websites or just pages that you can load up into your HTML editor and customize to suit your needs. You can put your own graphics, navigation buttons or anything else you need on your website. Here is how to build it in a few steps:
1. Download Dreamweaver free trial ( links below)
2. On the Internet search for free templates. You can do that by using your favourite search engine and type: “free website templates”. You will get many results listed. Some of the templates are free whilst for some you have to pay a fee in order to use them.
3. Unzip the template to a directory on your hard drive, load file “index.htm” or “main.htm” into dreamweawer and you are ready to start.
4. Start editing the page by adding your graphics text and other elements. Once you have finished and happy with how it looks like, save the page, open another one (if any) and do it again. If you only have one page, you can save it under different name and again change the text and headers if needed.
5. When your site is finished, you are ready to upload it to the server. Many of the free webspace sites will provide you either with FTP or HTTP access or you can upload and manage your pages.

Why pay for downloading mobile java apps when there are websites like this one that offer free or almost free java applications such as e-mail clients, chat messengers and various java games. If you have to pay for downloading of data directly from your phone, then you can download .jar file onto your Mac or PC and then transfer it into the phone by using Bluetooth or DCC (Direct Cable Connection). Some mobile operators will provide you with bluetooth phones that are crippled so they can not be connected to your computer. Be careful when choosing your mobile provider.Applications I recommend:
1. Opera Mini – Opera mini web browser for mobile phones and PDA’s.
2. Whoosh – Free* mini e-mail client. It checks multiple POP3 accounts.
3.Mobi Chat – Instant Messenger that works with: MSN, Yahoo and AIM (free for 30 days). All applications are available at:

For all those tasks G4 laptops are more then good enough for an average Mac user. Here are some basic tips on what to look for when buying refurbished or used mac laptops.
Buying refurbished laptops:
1. After you had decided on what model you want, first where you need to look at Apple website and search for refurbished laptops. Usually, Apple would give you best deals when it comes to buying refurbished Apple products. Read carefully product specifications and the terms under which you are buying it.
2. Don’t buy straight from Apple, it is good to search the Internet and see if you can find refurbished Apple laptops elsewhere. You will get many results listed.Make a list of all the products that you have spotted on different websites and compare prices and the warranty policy.
Buying used laptops: If you want to buy used laptops, the best place to look is on e-bay auction site. When buying from e-bay, you have to being extra careful and look for a following:
1. Always look for latest revisions of the computer.
2. It is good if the laptop is inspected by Apple and has replaced battery.
3. Contact the seller via e-mail and ask if all the disks ( Tiger installation DVD, iLife etc) are included. Also, ask about computer overall condition, if it has some scratches, display quality, how much it’s been used for and for what what. Some people will include additional software such as MS Office etc. so look for that as well. This will help you to get a picture in what condition laptop you want to buy is in. Some sellers on e-bay will put fixed price on,whilst others would place a bid. Don’t rush into buying the first one that you spot.Remember, that new auctions are available on e-bay every day. Look carefully to get the best deal possible. Always check your local e-bay site first, but if you are not happy with the offer, you can look on e-bay.com. Most of the sellers on e-bay.com offer worldwide shipment.
